Register with us as a New Patient
Live within boundary area?
We accept new patients, though we can only accept those who live in our practice area.
New Patient Registration
We offer all patients, newly registering, an appointment for a brief medical check-up and would be grateful if you could make time for this as we find it very useful and additionally it is good to meet new patients. If you move out of the area we regret that you must register with another practice.
All Patients are now registered with a named GP who will take lead responsibility for the co-ordination of all the appropriate services required.
- If you are a university student and have returned home for the holidays
- If you are staying with a friend/relative, dont wish to change your practice but need to see a doctor whilst you are in the area
When making an appointment to see a GP as a temporary resident you will be advised to attend 10 minutes early.
Your Named GP
The practice provide all patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them.
We know that some patients will wish their named GP to be a particular doctor. Where a patient expresses a preference as to which doctor they have been assigned, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request, but we would like to reassure patients that this system does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do. Your named GP will not be available at all times.
If you wish to be told the name of your accountable GP, please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery. If you have any questions, or wish to discuss this further with us, please contact us.
